IGC School Master English is an annual English event for students currently enrolled in IGC Group and partner schools. The program aims to arouse and promote the love of learning English for students from grades 1 to 12.
In 2022-2023, IGC School Master English has many changes not only in name but in scale and participations - 5 contests with diverse forms and contents with candidates from Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand.
IGC SCHOOL TALENTED STORYTELLERS
- Format: Recorded Videos
- Participant: Primary school students
Talented Storytellers is an opportunity for little storytellers to demonstrate their foreign language skills through their favorite folk stories, fairy tales, myths, etc. In particular, this year's contest has the participation of students from Ban Mai School System (Hanoi), CIA FIRST International School (Cambodia) and AEG School System (Thailand).
This is a highly anticipated contest when the participants always take the judges by surprise with their lovely style, English ability and thoughtful investment through the submitted videos.
IGC SCHOOL WHERE THE TALENTS SHINE
- Format: Live performance
- Participant: Team of 4-6 middle school students.
With IGC School - Where The Talents Shine - the gloriuos stage for young actors, we can’t wait to see 15-to-20-minute short plays (available or self-composed) with all the unexpected, creative and inspriring acting. At the end of the performance, the judge will ask questions to the teams and choose the best teams.
IGC SCHOOL SPEAK TO LEAD
- Format: Hybrid Online and Offline presentation
- Participant: Team of 3 high school students
The contest is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their foreign language ability, knowledge, research skills and teamwork in their presentation. Candidates from IGC School also have a chance to compete with those from Ban Mai, CIA FIRST and AEG school system.
With the topic: “In your circle of influence, what have you done or what will you do to help your community?”, the competition is expected to be where all creative, unique and brilliant ideas will be formed and shared.
TRINITY COLLEGE – IGC SCHOOL PUBLIC SPEAKING COMPETITION

- Participant: Students grade 9 – 11
IGC Group and Trinity College (Australia) continue to co-organize the Trinity College - IGC School Public Speaking Competition 2023. The contest with attractive prizes is an ideal opportunity for IGC School students to demonstrate their eloquence - confidently present and defend their point of views in English.
This year’s topic is: "There are many examples of inequality around the world. Can you discuss one example of inequality that you think is important? Why is it important and what can we do about it?”. Let's look forward to new ideas and creative presentations at Trinity College – IGC School Public Speaking Competition 2023!
TRINITY COLLEGE - IGC SCHOOL WRITING COMPETITION
- Format: Submit articles
- Participant: Students grade 6 – 8
As a new point in the IGC School Master English competition series 2022-2023, Trinity College - IGC School Writing Competition is an opportunity for students to improve their English writing ability, challenge critical thinking and present problems with the topic: “If you could go back in time, what moment or event would you visit and why?”
Students present their views in an about 500-word essay. Based on the criteria of content, format, language, etc., the Judge will select excellent works for awards.
An appealing and challenging program for future global citizens.
