Starting from November 2021, IGC Group has been and is currently implementing Child Safeguarding training programs in school for all staff. Child Safeguarding is part of the regular training series aimed at updating knowledge and raising awareness of the responsibility of staff in protecting children, which will help them better fulfill their roles as "knowledge companions" and "trusted friends" of students.
This year, the program is organized by school or clusters with online format through Microsoft Teams. With a focus on content, this activity attracts serious participation of staff. With updated content and in-depth measurement indicators, awareness of "Child Safeguarding" is shared with staff through knowledge and skills related to:
- Identifying warning signs of child abuse and neglect
- Evaluating the suitability and integration of child protection programs with other educational programs
- Understanding effective pedagogical methods to implement early prevention initiatives
- Describing key elements of laws and policies related to child protection in schools
- Reflecting on the role of employees and teachers as reporters or employees in an organization that greatly values the safety of children.
At the end of the training program, all staff participate in an evaluation session to reinforce and deepen their knowledge.
Child Safeguarding is one of the top priorities at all IGC schools. This is considered an important foundation for creating a loving, respectful, and responsible learning environment. IGC understands that when safety needs are met, students can be comfortable in their studies, develop themselves, and cultivate the necessary skills to become outstanding global citizens. In addition to this training program, IGC Group regularly organizes related activities to enhance the expertise and knowledge of employees and teachers to create a happy learning environment.
