The “Leader in Me” Program helps students master a broad range of skills and address challenges to academics, social interactions, and personal development. This program instructs students how to take the steering wheel of their lives and keep on track to succeed in the 21st century. The “Leader in Me” Program is provided by Franklin Covey (U.S) – a global company in education and human development, and revolves around “7 habits of highly effective people” including Be productive; Begin with the end in mind; Put first things first; Think win-win; Seek first to understand, then to be understood; Synergize; Sharpen the saw. At IGC, the “Leader in Me” Program seeks to foster students’ comprehensive development:
- Be responsible and take initiative.
- Take control of actions, attitudes, and emotions.
- Know how to plan, define and achieve goals.
- Be organized, be able to create schedules and manage daily life.
- Listen with empathy.
- Work well with others while doing teamwork.
- Develop your body, expand your mind and nurture your heart.
IGC has integrated the “Leader in Me” Program in 10 of IGC’s 11 Primary-Middle-High schools.
The messages convey the spirit of "Everyone is a leader."
